Awali is a one-(wo)man project of Tamara Sofia Shmidt, an independent cosmopolitan musician based in Prague. Her music is a mixture of delicate vocals, synth and intricate sound experiments. On the new album she sensitively weaves piano, intimate vocal lines, imaginative beats and field recordings with experimental electronic. This album is a journey to the ethereal soundscapes of unseen stories about stormy sea, cosmic whales, whispers of the trees and of course love, death and hope.
