In the second half of 2017, Touchwood, one of the undoubted pioneers of Czech jungle/d'n'b, set himself a challenge – to write a track every week and release it as a free download. Keeping this promise until the end of the year, the track count has now risen to 20. But until this time the releases had gone almost unnoticed.

A large sonic diary of his remarkable beat-building, typical precision and sharp sound seem to demonstrate Michael's own lifelong shift of musical taste to the present – atmospheric half-tempo/step. It surely became an insight into his personal moods, thoughts, feelings and emotions, where melancholic synths interweaved with diverse rhythmics.

The compilation, called simply `Friday Freebies`, was largely undiscovered at the time of the original release, but he has decided to give it proper attention by revisiting it and releasing it in a "more official" manner on XION. It is accompanied by a tender and futuristic video for the last track – the namesake of the title, made by our common friend and collaborator Moonspotter.
