Located in the heart of the protected landscape area Český ráj (literally translated like a Czech paradise) – everlastingly charming Mediterranean forests interwoven with hills, complexes of caves and mountains, ornated with many sandstone rock sculptures - the very center of European land in its characteristics and because of a natural environment, is also peerless for the same, and there is situated the tiny village Meziluží with eponymous nature reserve close to a tri-border of formal regions, that’s where Matyx have the secluded cottage.

More like an old farmhouse, he used this remote place for purposes of occasional, tiny music celebrations with friends in the past - like as usually many of us do at locations of that kind - with a stately Czech national tree, Linden, planted in the yard at the same time when the first republic was established back then...

Not far away from the castle Kost (Bone) with nice Valley Plakánek nearby, in Meziluží we’re right in the middle of the area with many National Parks, beautified with ponds around – definitely an excellent tip for your possible trip to this country.

„There’s peace which I haven’t found anywhere else. You don’t have to see anyone for days if you want, and you don’t even need to. Just sit down in front of the house to look around, observe, and be carried away by surrounding nature.“ is Matyx himself describing his inner bonding to this place. „Time somehow flows in here. One does not watch the hours at all and even doesn’t want to… There’s a wood nearby where you can take a walk endlessly or see the stars brightly at night and how everything suddenly changes into a pitch-black dark - sleeping in the open air is also wonderful in here.“

For him, it‘s a place where you want to go when you need to take a rest from everything and everyone. Matyx used to go here in the past often with friends whose he has this space connected, and those bring a bit of nostalgia for him – and all of that he tries to express in his production. „There’s more of that experiences and feelings inside.“ the author summed up, and indeed also mirrors the personality of local surroundings, and somehow its flavoring and odor. The presence of this in the tracks, too, is obvious - names like „Cottages (Chatovina)“, „Pathway (Stezka)“ or „Darkness (Tma)“ associate and portray this.

I went there for a trip to soak up the atmosphere for writing the article to accompany the release and absorb the calmness of that aside-of-the-beaten-ways corner in the middle of Czech country, the unpassable village. Where the road ends and seemingly does not continue, and new journeys or rediscovered ones can appear again.

And when it is the part of the label’s onward „infinite“ series due to „∞“ in numbering, an idea of split-EP arises jointly with the music efforts from DoZiKuR, who with enthusiasm immediately accepted the title name as his own. That creates not just an opposite through the vision of Amazonian rainforests or makes the spectrum of genres more diverse, but with similar sound feel included on the recording it causes the material from both of them also found synergy at once. After all, the heading word „Meziluží“ could be divided and loosely understood like „between puddles“ and „country lane of illusions“, or even „bounds of fantasies“.
